Half-Light

Half-Light is the reflection of a journey born of pain and illness — a path that began when endometriosis, that hidden and painful disorder of the reproductive system, took hold in my body and eventually unfolded into cancer and a radical hysterectomy.

To endure pain was, in itself, a life-changing experience; to live with the growth of something within me that was neither a child nor could it ever become one.

The photographs in this series emerge from my attempts at acceptance — a threshold where shadows and light, thoughts and emotions, weave into one another. Darkness and light, like two languages, gave voice to this journey. Solitude and silence, my companions through these years, seep into the unseen layers of the images.

This work speaks of death, yet it is equally a testament to life — to the endless cycle of sorrow and joy, uncertainty and clarity, and the profound dualities that bind all living beings.
